If you are coming via Amtrak train from Boston, New York, Philadelphia, etc., the closest train station to campus is New Carrollton. From the New Carrollton station, you can take the F6 Metrobus, which stops right in front of the Math Building. Alternatively, you can get off at Union Station in downtown DC and take Metrorail (Red and Green Lines) to College Park. If you are in a hurry, you can take a cab or Uber from New Carrollton to campus; the fare is approximately $15.

If you are coming from Boston, New York, or Philadelphia, it is also possible to take the Bolt Bus to the Greenbelt Metro station. From there, take the C2 metrobus or else take the Green Line of the metro one stop to College Park and follow the directions above under Metro Rail to Campus. Other long-distance bus services in the northeast corridor include Vamoose and Tripper Bus, which stop in Bethesda (less convenient to campus), and Greyhound, which stops near Union Station and also in downtown Silver Spring.
