Bio
Denny graduated from Oberlin College, earned a PhD at Yale University, and after an instructorship at the University of Pennsylvania, has been at the University of Maryland since the mid-1960’s. He loves teaching, especially calculus and analysis courses, and loves chaos, fractals, and pi. For fun he and his wife Frances enjoy playing music (she on the piano or organ, he on the cello), and sending friendship dolls to elementary schools in Japan.
