Debbie earned her BS at The College of William & Mary in 1978. She was a TA in the University of Maryland’s Math Department from 1980-1982, while earning her MA in Secondary Math Education at UMMaP under the direction of Jim Fey. After teaching in private high schools, Debbie became a lecturer in the math department in 1993, teaching the former Math 001/002 courses. In 2001, she oversaw the development and implementation of the Fundamental Studies Mathematics courses Math 010/110, 011/111, 013/113, and 015/115, and has been the course chair for the Math 01x classes ever since. In addition, she helps to prepare new TA’s for the classroom and supervises them during their first year. In 2018, Debbie is a participant in the TLTC’s Elevate Fellows program.{tab Research}
