Geometries, Surfaces and Representations of Fundamental Groups

Wednesday June 22 -- Friday June 24, 2016

This is the first announcement of the conference "Geometries, surfaces and representations of fundamental groups" to be held Wednesday June 22 to Friday June 24, 2016 at the University of Maryland, College Park. This conference will be in honor of the 60th birthday of Bill Goldman.

Some financial support may be available for travel and local expenses. Graduate students, recent Ph.D.s, and underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply. Preference for financial support will go to those registered by May 1.

Support for this conference comes from the National Science Foundation and the Department of Mathematics at the University of Maryland.
