Due to the coronavirus outbreak the 2020 Spring Dynamical Systems conference, April 16-19th, 2020 is cancelled. The 2021 meeting will tentatively take place April 8-11 2021.
The 9th Brin Prize in Dynamical Systems has been awarded to
for her fundamental work on the ergodic theory of locally Hamiltonian flows on surfaces, of translation flows on periodic surfaces and wind-tree models, and her seminal work on higher genus generalizations of Markov and Lagrange spectra.
You can find the list of Ulcigrai's prize papers at https://math.psu.edu/dynsys/Brinprize
The award ceremony planned for April 18 2020 as part of the Mayland dynamical systems conference has been canceled, and is now planned for April 10, 2021. Click here for the slides of the award presentation.
Brin Prize Committee: Viviane Baladi, Giovanni Forni (Chair), Helmut Hofer, Elon Lindenstrauss, Carlangelo Liverani, Hee Oh, Federico Rodriguez Hertz
As an alternate spring dynamics activity, we are opening up our usual dynamics seminar, virtually, by hosting a virtual seminar every Thursday at 2 pm Eastern time (except when noted otherwise). This will happen via Zoom; details for the Zoom meeting will be posted here prior to the seminar. It will last 2 hours with a break in the middle. Speakers will be asked to share the slides and/or notes in advance. The confirmed speakers are below. With the speaker's consent, the talks will be recorded and a link for the video will be posted here.

Beginning in Fall 1991, the dynamics groups of the University of Maryland and Pennsylvania State University have jointly sponsored two annual three to four day meetings in dynamical systems and related topics: a spring meeting here in College Park, and a fall meeting in State College. These meetings, though primarily regional, also attract participants outside the region and the country; the conference archives indicate their scope.
